In October the newly established trio 'The Progression Ensemble Oslo' will perform "The Thin Line" and "As the Wind Behaves" along with pieces by US composers Gene Pritsker, David Rothenberg and Christopher Cook. The ensemble consists of Thomas Kjekstad (guitar), Tove M. Erikstad (cello) and Andreas Angell (accordion). More info and dates will follow.

 

October 13 as part of the grand opening of the Mid-Hudson Museum of Contemporary Art in Peekskill, The Progression Ensemble with Shawn Lawson will premiere 'Before it Falls Apart' for accordion and guitar. They will also perform 'The Thin Line' and 'As the Wind Behaves' along with pieces by Gene Pritsker, Dale Hoagland, Peter Jarvis, David Rothenberg and others.

 

The Finnish AVANTI! ensemble performs "Wave-Chains" for sinfonietta at the Nordic Music Days in Helsinki, November 9 at Tempeliaukio church, conducted by Anna-Maria Helsing.

 

At Hamar Domkirke November 19 the faboulous Vertavo String Quartet premieres my string quartet 'Fallen Angels' along with pieces by Karl-Henning Lundby.

 

In December, the extraordinary vocal ensemble Nordic Voices goes on their annual Christmas Tour, this year to churches in both Norway and Germany. As part of the programme they wil do a new arrangement by yours truly on the old song 'Det hev ei rose sprunge'.

 

The British brass septet Septura will premiere my new piece 'Imprints' some time in 2019. 'Imprints' was commissioned by Septura.

 

Project : new solo work for accordion, to be premiered in US by Rocco Jerry in 2019, in Norway by Andreas Angell.

 

Project : new hybrid musical theathre production with Fakta Morgana - Marius Kolbenstvedt and Ingebjørg Torgersen. Title 'Minefelt' ('Minefield')
